I’m going to speak to you parent to parent. We have raised two daughters. They graduated from high school, went off to college, met their Princes, got married, and moved away. Senior Portraits are especially important because after their senior year EVERYTHING changes…they never live at home again, and their journey becomes their own. We are on the outside looking in. Let me express to you how much their images hanging in my home and office mean to me. It is my daily glimpse into our shared memories.
These photographs comfort me, bring me joy, stir up great emotion and celebrate my very blessed profession each and every day. Of course, I have pictures of them on my cell phone and on my computer too, but I don’t drill down to those and look at them every day. I consider the beautiful portraits of my daughters as personal art. I can’t imagine collecting any other images that would move me more and increase in value more every day. They are works of art and works of the heart that I cherish beyond measure.
